A very effective "Instrument-Assisted" therapeutic technique to detect and treat Soft Tissue Injuries
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Therapy (IASTT) and GRASTON Technique utilizes stainless steel instruments, uniquely shaped to treat different areas of the body. The weight and design of the various instruments allows us to effectively locate and remove trigger points by breaking up taut muscle bands and increasing blood flow to the injured areas.
This treatment process reduces and eliminates the adhered fibres, restoring normal muscle and tendon function while simultaneously decreasing associated pain and inflammation. Increased blood flow to and from the area caused by the frictional nature of this technique also promotes healing. Affected areas turn a bright red colour and show our therapists where the greatest areas of tissue dysfunction are.
Sarah offers a patented version of IASTT known as GRASTON Technique.
